How Russia controls Americans

Russia and America have never really got along and one main reason is our difference in political systems. However, nowadays Russia uses our political system against us and has been manupulating many of us Americans.

What Russia is doing

As mentioned before, Russia has manupulated Americans many times, and it is quite scary how easy it is for them. According to Americanprogress.org, "To be clear, Russia’s use of political weaponry against the United States extends further back than just 2014. In fact, a 1981 U.S. State Department Special Report defined Soviet active measures as “operations intended to affect other nations’ policies, as distinct from espionage and counterintelligence,” but not including the legitimate tools of public diplomacy."

There is plenty to show how Russia is controling us but the first thing we must do is find where they are controling us. The answer is coming from the same device you are using right now. And yes I am selling all of your info to the Russians right now hahaha. .The main things Russia does with the technolgy is black-mail, controling forigen media, and disinforming others.

1.Information warefare. Russia started funding this campain in 2014 and they started to reaserch us Americans.
Eventually they used what they learned and devoloped strategy that would make Americans less trusting of their politcal figures

2.the use of cyberoperations. Russia had been hacking many contries before but they had dared to hack the United States.
They hacked the White house and got in using a hacked email account. However a Dutch agency was able to catch them and found out who the attackers were.

3.Courting conservative instutions. Russia had been doing it's best to get some influence into the Repulican party for some time
and to increase distrust to the system Putin had done some very conservative actions like extreme anti-LGBT laws in Russia. And because American's can't help but to get our heads in everything, distrust grew.

4.Fostering destablizing movements. Putin declared himself as leader of the "global white ethnonationlist" in 2012.
The daily stormer lead by a Russian who supports the hackers coluded with a neo-Nasi until he was arrested for identity theft. But it seems like Russia has there face in America.

5.Voter targets. When the Russians spread false information they actively spread info that will discourge voters, mostly ethnic.

How did this start

In 2009 relation's with Russia were going smoothly for the first time, however, when Putin was voted back in despite the party doing poorly.
In other words it sounds like the people's votes didn't matter. Because of this the people rebelled and Putin became terrified of this. So he simply blamed everything on the Americans.
Yep, all of this because someone said screw the middle class. There were a lot of events that happened that made Russia and America sour of each other, but I had to say the most weirdest one.

How do we stop this?

It is quite simple to change this problem and yet everyone struggles to do so. All that is needed is to look for relible sources, such as sites with .org or .gov, and to look at many. That way you can put together the things that are the same and things that are different. If there are more differences that simliarities, then it is likely fake news.
So always be careful on the internet, you don't know what is true there or false, so stay safe and villagent.
