Background Information on Team Trees and Seas

Team Seas and Trees are enviromental orginzations created to clean up and heal our world.
As polution contunes and global warming worsens, many people struggle to find motivation and often fear the impending doom.
However thanks to two content creators on youtube, people have been given loads of hope for our future.
Team Trees was made by famous youtuber MrBeast when he reached 20 million subscribers
and for his subscriber speacial he was asked to plant 20 million trees. Beast teamed up with former NASA engineer and current youtuber, Mark Rober for help on this project. They both worked together with Beast using the old fashioned planting trees,while Mark tested tree planting drones. In the end they knew they couldn't do it on their own so they said that for every dollar donated to the new Team Trees would equal one tree planted. The goal was to plant 20 million trees before 2020, and this got a lot of attention.
It even got the attention of billionaries like Jimmy Fallon and Ellon Musk who donated to the orginzation.
After cuting it close, they reached $20 million before the end of 2019.
Then again in 2021 Mr. Beast reached 30 million subscribers and this time he decied to clean the ocean. He inlisted the help of Mark again and created Team Seas in October 2021, with the goal of removing 30 million pounds of trash from
oceans and beachs of the world. The goal was again to raise 30 million dollars for this before 2022, which meant they had to do this in
3 months! But thanks to people across the world donating to Team Seas they were able to reach the goal before 2022.

Why is this important?

Once the world reached the industrial age, global temputures started to raise and this reached an alarming rate in the 21st century.
According to NASA, by the end of the 21st century if things contiues as it is, the global temputure could raise between 2 degrees and 6 degrees Celsius The problem is that many people don't either belive in these facts or don't try to do anything. If this countiues then there will be no one left on this planet. So we need to do something. Somethings we can do are clean our planet, reduce,reuse,recycle, and protecting the natural world.
Another thing we need to do is to get our governments to acknowledge it as well, as countries with high amounts of poverty also have incredebly high polution rates as well, as these people have no proper waste disposal method besides throwing it all in one spot.
In Mark Rober's video of Team Seas he actually finds a town of poor people and learns of their situation, so he and Beast both wish for governments to take action
and help this world. So make sure that our governments will take responsibilty and help clean up after ourselves, and with time, we will be able to watch this planet grow with the most beauty we could ever imagine.
